K | KINDERGARTEN – 1st Judaics
Students are introduced to a variety of foundational Jewish concepts, rituals and ideas to build a strong Jewish identity. We strive to instill a love of Judaism and Torah through holiday exploration, exposure to Hebrew and prayer, in the hopes of fostering a lifelong desire to live “Jewishly”.

1st-3rd | JUDAICS
Students will continue laying the foundation of their Hebrew language skills and exploring Jewish holidays. Each year, students delve deeper into the importance of Torah, prayer, and study the importance of mitzvot (commandments) and K’dusha (holiness).
Day/Time: Sunday, 10am – 12:30pm
4th-6th | HEBREW & JUDAICS
Entering 4th grade, students are required to take Hebrew along with their Judaic studies. As well, students must meet Shabbat Service attendance requirements depending on the grade. These requirements are outlined in the Parent Handbook online.
Judaics | Students will formally examine their partnership with God, explore Jewish heroes and values and learn the impact of g’milut chasadim (acts of loving kindness) as it relates to the world as a whole.
Hebrew | Students develop their language skills with specialized Hebrew and prayer study in preparation of their Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
Day/Time: Sunday, 8:30am – 10:00am (Hebrew) & Sunday, 10-12:30pm (Judaics)
7th | B’NEI MITZVAH PREPARATION & HINEINI PROGRAM
B’nei Mitzvah Preparation | Taught by Cantor Ettinger and Hebrew teachers, this class provides small group and individualized instruction to prepare students for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
Day/Time: Thursday, 4:30pm – 6:30pm
***7th GRADE MA’AYAN for our seventh grade students who have already become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah.
Day/Time: 6:30 – 7:45 pm on Thursdays. Dinner included. $700 Prorated after Bar or Bat Mitzvah
8-12th | MA’AYAN
Ma’ayan (well-spring) is Congregation Beth Israel’s young adult education program for 8th-12th graders. Students will continue their life-long Jewish learning as they develop their Jewish identities through a variety of innovative programs, lessons, and experiences. Ma’ayan will create an educational, social, fun and challenging program for students as they engage, interact, and explore Judaism with their peers.
Day/Time: Thursday nights from 6:30-8:45 and includes dinner with friends, a core class and an elective each week.
Tuition: $700 (Plus $360 Confirmation fee for 10th graders only; Plus $50 Graduation Fee for 12th graders only)
*A $36 fee per student will be charged to subsidize the cost of additional health and safety requirements.
