CBI 100 Years From Now:
How We Got Here, and Where We’re Going
Wednesday, November 17th @ 7pm
The whole world has changed in the last 19 months, from the ways that we work to the ways that we socialize, to the ways that we spend our time. And Judaism is no exception! Join Rabbi Elka Abrahamson for a dynamic look at the trends in Jewish life that brought us to this moment, and the exciting possibilities for the next 100 years of Jewish engagement. Rabbi Abrahamson will share her thoughts and address our questions as we learn from the past and look towards the future.
About B.  Elka Abrahamson
Rabbi Elka B. Abrahamson has served as President of The Wexner Foundation since 2011. Internationally regarded as one of the most important programs of leadership and training of Jewish professionals and lay leaders, the Wexner Foundation develops and inspires leaders in the North American Jewish Community and the State of Israel. Rabbi Abrahamson oversees the Foundation’s full range of activities and imagines how the Foundation might further strengthen and educate Jewish professional and volunteer leaders in North America and public service leaders in the State of Israel.
Ordained at HUC-JIR, New York, Elka began her career as associate rabbi at Peninsula Temple Beth El, San Mateo, CA (in the very position held by our beloved Rabbi Mason-Barkin). Rabbi Abrahamson is a dynamic speaker and an engaging teacher with a dynamic approach toward creating a Jewish future filled with possibility. Newsweek Magazine once named her one of the 50 most influential rabbis in North America.
