Congregation Beth Israel’s Plotkin Judaica Museum is pleased to present “Witness to Truth”, portraits of Holocaust survivors by Marissa Roth on Sunday, January 31st at 2:00PM. This exhibit, curated by Jan Belin, coincides with International Holocaust Remembrance Day which is observed on January 27th.
Roth is a Pulitzer-Prize winning photographer who was commissioned by the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles to photograph Holocaust survivors who were Museum volunteers. “Witness to Truth” pays homage to these generous people who are committed to teaching tolerance and ensuring that the Holocaust is not forgotten. The permanent exhibit at the Museum of Tolerance contains 80 portraits.
The exhibit here is a selection from that large collection.
