The Orientation is held twice per school year: once in August and once in January. Parents of all students who have completed the date request forms and been assigned a date for their B’nei Mitzvah will receive invitations via email 4-6 weeks prior to the session. The orientation sessions are meant to help parents to gain a better understating of the timeline ahead of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah date along with preparations needed for your successful simcha.

Each December the B’nei Mitzvah registration form becomes available for dates which are two calendar years from that year (example: families will receive a registration form for B’nei Mitzvah occurring in 2020 in December of 2017).  The registration is emailed according to birth year (i.e., all children born in 2007 will receive registration information for 2020 B’nei Mitzvah dates). CBI prepares registration calendars 2 years out.  *Date requests must be submitted AT LEAST six months prior to the date you are requesting. *To receive date confirmation, families must be in good financial standing and be in compliance with attendance and Shabbat service requirements.

The B’nei Mitzvah Guidelines are intended to familiarize you with details concerning your child’s upcoming simcha and includes the most important information intended to answer many of your questions. *A copy of these guidelines is given out at the Orientation Meeting and can be downloaded here.

We look forward to working with you to prepare for your important day!
