The goal of the Welcome Home Project is to create a warm and welcoming environment where we can nurture each other through acts of kindness, warmth and compassion.  By giving it structure, every member of Congregation Beth Israel is invited to help build and strengthen our “Kehilah Kedoshah” – our Holy Community with Jewish values and responsibilities at our core.

Utilizing the unique talents among us, we will create a Holy Community that will nurture and honor our Jewish traditions. As volunteers supporting this project, we will lead by example and share our best practices.

We invite every member of our synagogue to become a part of this Holy Community by contributing their time to one or more of these teams:

Shalom-Kehilah: Welcome-Community. The Shalom-Kehilah Team welcomes congregants and visitors to Religious Services and Events and helps integrate new members into our congregation.
Simcha/Joy: Joy.  The Simcha Team works in creative ways to expand joyful congregational events.
Rachamim/Caring: Showing compassion for each other. The Rachamim Team reaches out to congregants and the families of congregants who are currently in, or recently discharged from, the hospital or a care facility or are suffering from a chronic illness. They also reach out to congregants who are mourning the recent loss of a loved one.  For support at any time you can email Rachamim Team at rachamimteam@hotmail.com or call the synagogue office at (480) 951-0323.
