The Mark L. Haberkorn Religious School is committed to teaching and providing our students with the necessary Jewish core values empowering them with the knowledge and tools to continue a path of life long Jewish learning.

This fun and creative class will provide everything that a child preparing for Kindergarten needs within a warm, caring Jewish community of learners! Students must be 4 years old by the start of school.
Day/Time:       Sunday, 10am – 12:30pm
Tuition:            $575 ($275 for currently enrolled Chanen Preschool famililies)


Students are introduced to a variety of foundational Jewish concepts, rituals and ideas to build a strong Jewish identity. We strive to instill a love of Judaism and Torah through holiday exploration, exposure to Hebrew and prayer, in the hopes of fostering a lifelong desire to live “Jewishly”.

Tuition:             $800 ($550 for Chanen Preschool graduates)


1st-3rd | JUDAICS
Students will continue laying the foundation of their Hebrew language skills and exploring Jewish holidays. Each year, students delve deeper into the importance of Torah, prayer, and study the importance of mitzvot (commandments) and K’dusha (holiness). The 1st-3rd graders will have the opportunity to participate in special programming at our Sukkot Retreat in the Pines.

4th-6th | HEBREW & JUDAICS
Entering 4th grade, students are required to take Hebrew along with their Judaic studies. As well, students must meet Shabbat Service attendance requirements depending on the grade. These requirements are outlined in the Parent Handbook online.

Judaics | Students will formally examine their partnership with God, explore Jewish heroes and values and learn the impact of g’milut chasadim (acts of loving kindness) as it relates to the world as a whole.
Hebrew |   Students develop their language skills with specialized Hebrew and prayer study in preparation of their Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

B’nei Mitzvah Preparation | Taught by our Rabbis and Hebrew tutors, this class provides small group and individualized instruction to prepare students for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Students are called into this class 6 months prior to their Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

Gesher | This class is designed to engage our 7th graders who have already celebrated their Bar/Bat mitzvah or who are more than 6 months out from their Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

Hineini | “Here I Am!” is the 7th grade program, under the direction of our Youth Director, designed for our students to answer the call to serve. Students participate in a community service project once a month.

Day/Time:       Thursday, 4:30pm – 6:30pm & One Sunday/month (Hineini)

8-12th | MA’AYAN  Ma’ayan (well-spring) is Congregation Beth Israel’s young adult education program for 8th-12th graders.  Students will continue their life-long Jewish learning as they develop their Jewish identities through a variety of innovative programs, lessons, and experiences. Ma’ayan will create an educational, social, fun and challenging program for students as they engage, interact, and explore Judaism with their peers.

 Day/Time:     Thursday nights from 6:30-8:45 and includes dinner with friends, a core class and an elective each week.
Tuition:           $600 (Plus $360 Confirmation fee for 10th graders only; Plus $50 Graduation Fee to 12th graders only)
