Gail Baer, Congregation Beth Israel’s current President, has been a member of CBI since moving to the Valley from her hometown of Washington, DC in 2005. In addition to her leadership role at CBI, Gail has served on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Phoenix where she chaired the B’nai Tzedek Youth Philanthropy Steering Committee. In addition, Gail has served on the Phoenix Council of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
A graduate of Cornell University, Gail is the Associate Vice President of Philanthropic Services at Jewish Family and Children’s Service (JFCS) where she leads all major individual giving towards JFCS programs and their endowment. Gail lives in Scottsdale with her husband, Michael. Their three college-aged children, David, Rachel and Amy, are graduates of CBI’s Religious School, B’nei Mitzvah, Confirmation, Camp Stein Big Trip Israel, and Ma’ayan programs.
